Summary

The Dainese Rebel Leather Jacket will keep you incredibly warm during cool weather riding and with the thermal liner removed, breathes very well to keep you cool in the summer.  The cowhide leather is resistant to tears and abrasion.
Styling: It has to be one of the greatest things I’ve ever purchased. I’ve ridden around on sport bikes, had some very special cars, etc. and honestly, this jacket does look and feel OK. It just looks the business as Jeremy Clarkson would say, and people constantly ask me about it. I frequently forget to leave a normal jacket at the office and I’ll be seen walking to lunch wearing this jacket. Quite a few questions generally ensue. Just make sure you don’t have to take a phone call when out and about, because reaching that phone in ear position is quite difficult. Just kidding.
Fit: I personally love the secure feeling of a very tight fitting race style jacket. Time to laugh: for the last few months since selling my Ducati Monster, I’ve been using this jacket on a scooter. Not exactly the seating position it was intended for but I still prefer it over anything else. I’ve always advised getting the best gear possible and then worrying about the bike and this fits that adage perfectly. This is really next level stuff.
Warmth: The zippable liner on this thing is no joke. I’ve been using in in sub 40 degree temperatures and my legs with thermals on get cold well before my upper half with the liner in. In the summer, with the liner out and the vents open, the jacket breathes reasonably well.
Quality: I’m the type of person who’d drive a Ferrari to Target. I spend money on what I like – so suffice it to say I’ve never owned super high quality apparel. However when it comes to gear, for me, it’s the best or nothing. I either get the best protection possible or I don’t ride, simple as that. That all boils down to this jacket being of utterly superb quality, so far beyond anything else wearable I’ve ever owned. The leather is second to none. It’s been months of almost daily use and it still looks perfect and my closet still smells like a brand new Ferrari (the leather really is incredible).
